Rello & Verse "Double Trouble" (TrapRock Review)

Long Awaited...Most Anticipated...Baltimore "BMORE LIKE US" artist Verse & Rello drops this ill mixtape they collaborated on. First of all I wanna start by saying the intro is super dope. They go in and let you know exactly where they're from. And with the dope production and female artist Scarlett on the hook, this joint is money!! "Music Was My Friend" is a real conceptual track where they simply talk about their love for the art of music..."M.O.B." Music Over Bxtches. Hip hop producer "Cuzzo Beatz" drops a joint on here called "Rappers Holiday". This is one of those tracks that you would wanna see a video for. "Die In Your Arms" is the next track. I've heard this sample many of times, but not done like this. Their voice and styles really compliment one another on this mixtape. Next Rello goes in solo on "Blue Sky". His word play is just out of this world. I would love to see a visual for this one as well. I think this is one of my personal favorites. Produce "Kid Los" blessed them with a joint called "Go In", and that's exactly what they did. The beat is sick!! Oh shxt!! Did Skarr Akbar really bless them with one too? Yes he did. "Reverse" OMG!! This joint is retarted. Reminds you of a old Bad Boy track Biggie would've bodied years ago. This is an ill hip hop joint. Verse went in braggin about the best of hip hop. Got respect that one. "Work of Art", this should of been in the beginning of this mixtape. The sample in the background sounds like you're in church..lol. The drums are just sick! Rello & Verse gives you lyrics straight from the canvas of their rhyme book. They compare their styles to classic work such as Mona Lisa, Picasso and other famous artist and portraits. On the Next track "This why I Started Rapping" both artist gives the world a brief story of how it all started. I love to hear joints like this. Hip hop is all about story telling. "We Didn't Realize" has a different vibe to it. They switch the flow. I could really hear Andre 3000 doing something to this. Sounds like it should've been on the "Idlewild" soundtrack. lol. But it's dope! Bmore Like Us artist "Lael" blessed them with his voice on this track "We All We Got". Another one of my favorites. They really rode the beat on this joint. They ended this Glorious project with "Young Fly N.I.G.G.A.S.", which has a futuristic sound and dope 808's.

Overall this project is definitely worth listening to several times. Like I said my favorites are "Blue Sky", "Reverse" and "We All We Got".
