Born Marlon Williams, Jr. and sharing direct lineage to Hip-Hop's elder statesman and legendary producer, Marley Marl; Flushing, Queens native, M.Will's
succession into music knighthood started as early as the age of four
when he showed interest in DJ'ing and creating his own music.
From
there, he learned to read music and play classical piano which lead to
him creating and composing his own music. Gaining a deep interest in
hip-hop, M.Will would soon start adding melodies and sounds to songs his fathers productions, including KRS-ONE’s “_Hip-Hop Lives_” and LL Cool J’s “_Exit 13_”.
Upon reaching his teens, M.Will released “_A Journey through Space and Time_”, a mixtape collaboration with notable hip-hop music and lifestyle blog, IllRoots and includes all of his early production. Following up that release with another instrumental compilation titled, "LifeOnMars: An Ode to Dexter Wansel" catching the ear of many notable audiophiles and music journalists. Not one to hold on to music, M.Will released a compilation of new artists rapping over his productions titled, "Northern Lights" in the Summer of 2011. Also well received, that project fostered the single "Whatever" featuring fellow wunderkind, Mac Miller.
As the Universe enters into a new age, 2012's As Above, So Below is it's ethereal soundtrack, with M.Will's unique and experimental style making the instrumental opus another welcomed addition to his quickly growing discography.
