Kevin Durant x Nike KD VI Launch Event (News/Photos)
Last week, one the NBA's best humanitarian's & philanthropist Kevin Durant invited media from a dozen countries and multiple continents to tour his home town of Seat Pleasant, Maryland (just outside of Washington, DC) and see up close and personal the inspiration for his sixth signature shoe, the Nike Zoom KD VI. The event began last Thursday at the Seat Pleasant Activity Center where Durant spent most of his childhood & hoops career started. Kevin Durant even took the media on a tour of his hometown including is grandmothers house, "The Hill" where ran sprints up & down to train. Then Friday the tour with the media led to the Nation's Capital that included the Lincoln Memorial and Georgetown University where Durant played summer ball and even jumped into a pickup game at Sidwell Friends School. where he was hosting a skills camp for the best college comp in the country. The KD VI launches worldwide on Wednesday, July 3 in navy, teal and yellow—the colors of Durant’s hometown rec center.
