Faust On The Rise

Its not a suprise to fellow folks who are fimiliar with Baltimore High School hoop star Nick Faust to shine and make big plays on the basketball court.But over the past 4 games the City College Grad from Baltimore has made a big impact at the University Maryland.Scoring in double figures in his 3 out of 4 games the slashing 6'6 guard has risen to the occasion and made big plays.After losing star guard Pe'Shon Howard to a torn ACL for the season,Nick has stepped up tremendously as a freshmen playing point guard and making highlight dunks.I believe his turning point was the Duke game going into a hostile environment such as Cameron Indoor Stadium in a 55-74 lost scoring 15 pts with 8 Rebs making big plays by penetrating and getting to the basktet.The 15-10 Terps coming off a victory last game to Boston College Faust had 14 pts with a nasty dunk flying fast through the paint.Maryland still young but are learning fast with a chance of making the NCAA Tournament, but its clear Nick's play will be important as well.We wish Nick well and im tuned in every game as a Maryland Terps fan myself.
