Aly Raisman Wins Gold In Floor Exercise (Gymnastics)

Team USA gymnast Aly Raisman goes out with a bang earlier today in the 2012 Olympics. Raisman won the Gold Medal today in the floor exercise and leaves out the most decorated gymnast out of the "Fierce Five" (Gabby Douglas,Jordyn Wieber,Kyla Ross,McKayla Maroney,Aly Raisman). Aly Raisman capped off a huge performance on the women's floor exercise finals. Not only did she add back in an element on her opening tumbling pass that had been giving her trouble (and that she removed for the team finals and individual all-around), but she nailed it. And she nailed every subsequent pass on her way to a 15.6, the highest women's floor exercise score given out at the games. Douglas had another rough day, finishing seventh on balance beam after a fall. World champion Jordyn Wieber, voted most likely to leave the Olympics with the biggest haul, was seventh on floor and finishes without any individual medals. Raisman will be coming home with three medals 2 Golds in the Team Competition,Floor Exercise, and a bronze in the Balance Beam competition. The Fierce Five has been an inspiration to the U.S in this past week of the Summer Games. We hope to see these teenage women perform again in 2016.
