Team USA Defeats France (Basketball)

Team USA takes home the win today defeating France in their Olympic opener in a runaway victory 98-71. Leading scorer in today's game was 3-time NBA scoring champion Kevin Durant (Oklahoma City Thunder) with 22 points and 9 rebounds. Suprisingly today Kevin Love (Minnesota Timberwolves) had continue to become a big contributor as well putting up 14 pts and rounding out of double digit scoring with Kobe Bryant (Los Angeles Lakers) scoring 10 pts. LeBron James (Miami Heat) led the team in assist dishing out 8. USA Head Coach Mike Krzyzewski was very impressive by his team performance and stated "We played a very good game against an outstanding team. France is so well-coached and in (Tony) Parker, they have as good of a guard as there is in the tournament. I thought we did a good job defensively. We shared the ball. We assisted on 27 of our 31 buckets and we rebounded the ball very well. Overall, it was a good first step or us, beating an outstanding French team". The USA Mens Basketball team will now take on Tunisia in they next game July 31st at 10:15pm.
